The fifth generation of cellular mobile communications, known as 5G, may not be as helpful for digital agriculture companies as first thought with one livestock tag manufacturer saying it will be useless to his company.
The comments come the same week as Telstra released a 20-page report highlighting 5G’s abilities – foreshadowing an auction for new generation of the network in late November.
Telstra will have competition in the auction from the joint bid by Vodafone and TPG – it’ll be across 14 regions of Australia.
